I am so unbelievably out of my mind proud happy excited honored to announce that I have been nominated for a 2011 Ovation Award for Best Lead Actress in a Play (Everything Will Be Different with the Echo Theater Company)!
the production was also nominated for Best Acting Ensemble and Best Play (Intimate Theater).
This show was so close to my heart and I'm so very glad that it had an impact on others as well.
Big huge thanks to LA Stage Alliance for all they do and to all the Ovation voters out there! and congrats to ALL the nominees! Check out the full list here. I'm in good company.

nice things

"Delondra Williams' 'Desert Aria,' an eerily gothic vignette starkly directed by Christopher William Johnson, is highlighted by a haunting monologue performed to perfection by Alana Dietze and a few scary interludes from a demented David Guerra" -- Travis Michael Holder, Backstage West

just a little more
one more quote from the Ovation Recommended production of Everything Will Be Different. i know it closed in November but I'm just reading the reviews now...
"Alana Dietze (Charlotte) carries the weight of this universe on her waifish shoulders. A riveting vulnerability flashes through an apathetic teenage facade, and what begins as humorous idiosyncrasy becomes a sad mask hiding an unbearable pain. This transformation is devastating. Everything Will Be Different is a stirring character study of this very specific person and the collaboration of playwright, director and actress makes us care about her." -- Andrew Moore, Mad Theatrics Stage Blog
